About DI resin (read before use)
Mixed-bed and roughing DI resins drive water to zero TDS but the resin itself is not food-grade and DI water is not intended for drinking without remineralization. Some users report a slight resin smell on first use — flush 1–2 gallons before relying on the output. Keep the cartridges sealed and dry until install. DI life drops sharply on feed water with low pH or high dissolved CO₂; aerate or degas if you see early exhaustion.
