They don't make 'em like they used to!

I've used a Litermeter 3 for water changes for many years and thought I'd treat myself to an "upgrade" when the 4 came out. Immediately I saw issues.

I need it to consistently move 5g of water a day in and out. If one side is off just a little, the salinity starts swinging. Because of this I was a little alarmed to find the calibration only goes from 100ml instead of the previous 500ml, immediately 5x less accurate.

The online capabilities were also a let down. When I did manage to log on from my phone, there was a lag on telling the calibration to end, so I ended up having to do it via the screen.

Moving the cursor around on the screen is not intuitive. You'll be pressing left to go left, but sometimes you have to press up instead, then left again! Getting it wrong will make you go to the wrong screen. It's a little thing, but when you're already annoyed with a piece of equipment, stuff like this can push you over the edge! :)

I never really got it to consistently work and after 2yrs 2 ports out of the 4 stopped powering the pumps. So that was that! I've gone back to my far superior litermeter 3 and it's been a joy to use again!
