SpectraPure® PSP Series Pumped Systems produce purified water for industrial, hospital, laboratory, hydroponics, fish hatcheries and other applications. Ultra-high rejection TFC membranes remove more than 98% of organics (molecular weight greater than 300), more than 98% of dissolved inorganics, 98% of all particles, microorganisms, pyrogens and colloids, and have greater than 98% conductivity rejection. The system's waste water re-circulation loop minimizes membrane fouling, maximizes membrane life and allows increased recovery. A built-in liquid level control or pressure tank control switch automatically fill storage tank and shut off system, while low pressure cut-off and safe-start motor protection circuitry prevent pump and motor damage.

Standard pumped systems are available from 600 gpd /2271 lpd to 2700 gpd / 10221 lpd.SpectraPure® PSP Series Pumped Systems of greater capacity than those listed above are also available. Contact SpectraPure® Technical Support <service@spectrapure.com> for details.

Note: Production rate is based on 24 hours of operation, 150 psi operating pressure and feed water temperature of 77 degrees F (25 degrees C). The maximum recovery percentage is 50%. The actual maximum recovery attainable for a system depends on the exact tap water chemistry. The systems are factory set at 28% recovery for this reason.

Feed Water Requirements for Pumped Reverse Osmosis PSP Systems

For a Pumped Reverse Osmosis System to function effectively and yield long membrane life, the feed water MUST meet the requirements below.

pH Range............................ 3 - 11   Maximum Iron.................... less than 0.1 ppm
Maximum Temperature......... 110 F / 43 C   Maximum Manganese......... less than 0.1 ppm
Maximum Feed Turbidity...... 1.0 NTU   Maximum Chlorine.............. less than 0.1 PPM
Max. Silt Density Index........ 5.0 / 15 min. test time   Maximum TDS................... 2000 PPM
Maximum Hydrogen Sulfide.. 0 PPM   Maximum Hardness............ water must be softened
Langlier Saturation Index...... must be negative

NOTE: Some tap, well, and lake feed water sources do not meet these requirements. All Pumped Reverse Osmosis Systems must therefore be operated with proper pre-filtration supplying the following requirements.

When sizing a system, we highly recommend selecting a flow rating that is at least 2 to 3 times the actual expected water use per day. This will compensate for low water temperatures and dramatically lengthen the service life of the system.

Recommended Applications: Hospital, Laboratory, Pharmaceutical, Aquarium, Hatchery, Hydroponic Gardening, Industrial, Car Wash, Bottled Water, Brewing Industry, Ice Machine, Misting System, Steam Processors
