The Ultimate™ eliminates contaminant leakage from exhausted DI cartridges with the addition of secondary back-up cartridges. An exhausted deionization cartridge will leak the removed impurities back into the water at levels many times higher than originally found in the source water. Two stages of color-indicating SilicaFree Resin Cartridges (DI-SF-CI-10) prevent this leakage.

SpectraPure® Color-Indicating Deionization Systems offer an economical alternative to non-dyed, semiconductor grade resin. The resin will color-change upon exhaustion to show the remaining capacity of the cartridge, and does not require resistivity monitoring equipment.
